Choose your options above, then add each item from its own page: The Dingley Wool & BioThane® Collar | Hunter Green | Sheep Shed Hybrid and Dingley Hybrid Rope Lead | Midnight Blue & Hunter Green | Sheep Shed.
It arrives as finished British rope and braid from Sustainable Rope, founded by Kate Drury, a fourth-generation sheep farmer and a British Wool board member. It is graded at British Wool in Bradford, spun in Huddersfield, and woven by hand in Oxford. British farmers are paid properly for their wool, and it is made into a proper British material rather than bought in as the cheapest import. That is not an accident. It is what makes this worth making.
About this piece+
This is what Green Dog does at its best, not choosing between materials, but combining them. British wool woven by hand and BioThane® in considered colours, brought together into something that looks at home on a Cotswold lane or a city pavement.
This is the new Sheep Shed Hybrid range: the craft and texture of The Brampton and The Dingley wool collections, matched to the practical modern material the dog world reaches for daily, BioThane®, but coloured, proportioned, and assembled in a way the pet industry has never quite seen before.
The Dingley Hunter Green pairs the hand-woven Dingley wool collar body with a hunter green 19mm BioThane® adjustable strap and a burnt orange 9mm BioThane® collar keeper. The same Dingley wool from The Sheep Shed, the same hand weaving, brought into the modern materials world with colour combinations that feel genuinely considered.
Fully waterproof BioThane® strap. Wipe-clean. Solid brass hardware. An 11mm Green Dog brass disc, hand-stamped by me, sits on the D-ring. Choose 3-row for any breed or 4-row for sighthound fit.
Pairs with the Dingley Hybrid Lead in Midnight Blue.

Materials & construction+
Wool weave: Dingley, the ecru wool, hand-woven collar body. It is undyed. The colour is the colour the sheep grew. My wool braid comes from Sustainable Rope, founded by Kate Drury, a fourth-generation sheep farmer and a British Wool board member. It is graded and baled at British Wool in Bradford and spun at a mill in Huddersfield.
BioThane® strap: Hunter green 19mm BioThane® BETA, fully waterproof and odour-resistant.
Collar keeper: Burnt orange 9mm BioThane®, a contrast accent that echoes the paired hybrid lead.
Hardware: Solid brass roller buckle and D-ring. Twelve-month hardware guarantee.
Weave and sizes: 3-row or 4-row weave, eight sizes from XXS to XXXL. The 3-row weave is 34mm wide and the 4-row sighthound weave is 43mm, both over the 19mm BioThane® strap.
Sizing & fit+
How to measure: Measure the widest point of your dog’s neck and add 2–3cm. If between sizes, size up. Two fingers should sit comfortably under the collar. If the size is not right, message me — size exchanges and amendments are available.
3-row vs 4-row: 3-row is standard width, suitable for all breeds. 4-row is wider, distributing pressure more evenly across the neck. Ideal for sighthounds (whippets, lurchers, greyhounds) or any dog where a broader profile is preferred, or simply as a personal choice.
Available sizes: XXS: 9–11.5″ | XS: 11–13.5″ | S: 13–15.5″ | M: 15–17.5″ | L: 17–19.5″ | XL: 19–21.5″ | XXL: 21–23.5″ | XXXL: 23–25.5″
Changing your mind: Hunter green is a fixed colourway, and the weave and size are picked from options I already build, so ordering commits you to nothing unusual. That means 30 days from delivery to change your mind rather than the 14 the law requires. If the size turns out wrong, message me — size exchanges and amendments are available. Full detail on my returns page.
Who pays the postage on an exchange: If I made the mistake, the postage both ways is mine. If the measurement turned out not to suit your dog, the postage each way is yours.
Faulty or damaged: If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, I will repair, replace or refund it and cover the postage.
Care & durability+
Wool weave: The wool is untreated, which is what gives it the handle. It also means it will felt if it gets wet and worked, so do not wash it. Let mud dry completely and brush it out with a soft brush.
BioThane® strap and keeper: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Rinse under running water after heavy mud. Fully waterproof and odour-resistant, no conditioning needed.
Hardware: Solid brass, wipe clean. Will develop a natural patina over time. Covered by Green Dog's twelve-month hardware guarantee.
Not machine washable: The BioThane® is wipe-clean and the brass is fine, but the wool is untreated and will felt if it gets wet and worked. So the collar as a whole is not a washable one: wipe the BioThane®, and let mud dry on the wool and brush it out.
Wool is the one material here that genuinely gets better. Customers who have had these pieces for years tell me they have improved with use, not worn out.
Questions & answers+
Why put wool and BioThane® on the same collar? They do different jobs. The wool is the character and the texture, hand-woven from undyed British wool. The BioThane® strap is the part that takes the mud, the river and the wet grass and wipes clean afterwards.
Is the whole collar waterproof? The strap and the keeper are. The wool panel is not. It is untreated British wool. It handles wet weather perfectly well and dries out on its own, but it must not be washed: let mud dry on it and brush it out.
Should I choose 3-row or 4-row? 3-row is the standard width and suits any breed. 4-row is wider and spreads pressure across more of the neck, which is why sighthound owners tend to pick it. Plenty of people choose it simply because they prefer the look.
Is there a matching lead? Yes. The Dingley Hybrid Lead in Midnight Blue carries the same hunter green BioThane® and the same Dingley wool whipping.
How long will it take to arrive? 2–6 working days. Everything is made to order in Oxford, not picked off a shelf. Free UK tracked shipping over £55.
Delivery & returns+
Made to order in Oxford and dispatched in 2–6 working days. Free UK tracked shipping on orders over £55, and international shipping is available at checkout. It's worth two minutes with the measuring guide before you order. This is a size from a range I already make, so if the size turns out to be wrong, message me within 14 days — an exchange or an amendment is usually simpler than sending it back. If I got it wrong, I cover the postage both ways; if the measurement turned out not to suit your dog, the postage each way is yours. Either way, message me — I'd far rather talk it through than have you post anything. You also have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, where the law asks for 14: send it back unused and I'll refund what you paid for it and the standard delivery I charged, and the return postage is at your cost. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's on me — repair, replacement or refund, and I cover the postage.
