Find the right lead length

Every length made in this collection. Leads here run 130–130cm.

The Cotton Mill leads are 12mm cotton rope, hand-spliced rather than crimped, with a veg-tanned cowhide tab at the handle: black on the Burgundy and Midnight Blue, brown on the Harvest Yellow and Olive Green.

Cotton carries more weight and drape than synthetic rope of the same diameter. Each colour has a matching woven collar in the range. The British wool leads are the other hand-spliced natural fibre I make, heavier again and whipped over with hemp cord.

A lead has no fit to get wrong, so this one is simple: these are preset editions bought as shown, and you have 30 days from receipt to change your mind, unworn and in the original packaging. The hardware is guaranteed for twelve months, and after that I will replace worn parts at cost plus postage however old the lead is, all of which is set out on the returns page.

From Yorkshire mill to Oxford studio.

The cotton used in every Cotton Mill piece is milled and dyed in Yorkshire, using traditional processes that produce the depth of colour and durability these leads and collars are built around.

From there, the material comes to the Oxford studio, where every lead is hand spliced and every collar is hand woven. The Italian veg tanned leather straps on the collars are cut and finished by hand. Each piece of brass hardware is load-tested by its manufacturer.

Nothing here is mass produced. The Cotton Mill Collection exists because there is a better way to make a dog lead.
