Trade & Wholesale

Made to order. No dead stock. Made in Britain.

Green Dog is a British studio working to one standard. Every collar, lead and accessory is cut, woven and finished by hand in Britain, to order. Independent retailers stock a product their customers come back for, without carrying dead stock to get it.

Why made to order

Nothing sits on your shelf gathering dust.

Every piece is made after you order it, so you reorder what sells rather than guessing a season ahead. No overstocking, no markdowns, no write-offs. That is why the lead time is 2 to 8 weeks rather than next day, and it is the trade-off worth understanding before you enquire.

Co-branding

Your mark alongside mine.

For established accounts I produce a woven cotton label carrying your logo on one side and Green Dog on the other. A run of 1,000 is £90, and they take about two weeks once you have approved the sample. On leather, your mark can be embossed beside my maker's stamp. I do not white label. Green Dog stays on every piece, and that is part of what makes it worth stocking.

Trade questions

Common trade questions

Do you have a minimum order?
Yes. £300 on every order, with no minimum quantity per SKU, so you can spread that across as many or as few lines as you like.
What does trade pricing look like?
One unit price list, the same for every account, sent with the line sheet once your account is approved. Prices are net and no VAT is added. Recommended retail prices are supplied so you can work your margin before committing, and you are free to depart from them.
How long does a trade order take?
Between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on the size and type of the order. Everything is made after you order it, so nothing you buy has been sitting in a warehouse. Your lead time is confirmed before you commit.
How do I place an order once I have an account?
Through the trade portal at greendog.pet/pages/trade-portal. You sign in, choose the products and then every component, the rope, binding, hardware and finish, with your prices already in. Submit it and I confirm it, then it comes back to you as an invoice. Past orders are saved, so repeating a colourway takes one click.
Do you charge for delivery?
No. UK delivery is free and tracked on every trade order, with an itemised invoice.
Are you VAT registered?
Not currently, so no VAT is added to your invoice. Trade prices are quoted net. If that position changes the listed prices stay as they are and VAT is shown separately, so it is not a price rise to a VAT registered retailer.
Can I sell Green Dog online as well as in store?
Yes. Online retailers are welcome. Recommended retail prices are supplied but never enforced.
Can the products carry my branding?
For established accounts, yes. I produce a woven cotton label with your logo on one side and Green Dog on the other. A run of 1,000 is £90 and takes about two weeks once you have approved the sample. On leather your mark can be embossed beside my maker's stamp. I do not white label.
Where is everything made?
In Britain, to one standard. British wool, graded and spun in Yorkshire, and laid into rope in Britain. The hardware on the fixed ranges is solid metal: solid brass, or solid nickel on leather.
