Every piece is made to your dog's exact measurements. Use the Measuring Guide to get it right first time.

Hardware & construction+
Every snap, D-ring and slider is load-tested by its manufacturer. Brass develops a patina over time — a feature, not a fault.
Send it back to me. If the hardware fails in the first twelve months I'll repair or replace it free. After that, send it back any time and I'll replace worn parts at cost plus postage.

Made to your measurements. Because I cut this to the size you give me, it isn't covered by the usual 14-day change-of-mind right — I can't resell it, so I can't take it back simply because you've changed your mind. If the size isn't right, message me: size exchanges and amendments are available. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's on me — I'll repair, replace or refund it and cover the postage. The full position is on my returns and guarantee page.

If you want calm, responsive control without bulky hardware, this is it. The Strand is a 6mm slip lead handmade for owners who want a clean, reliable connection on every walk.
Slip leads work by tightening gently when your dog pulls and releasing the moment the tension drops. There is no clip, no buckle, no separate collar, just one continuous loop that sits behind the ears and communicates clearly. The Strand's BioThane® stopper lets you dial in the exact fit so it slides up correctly every time.
Made from 6mm premium rope, lighter and neater than standard 10mm leads, with enough strength for dogs of all sizes. Every piece is handmade at the Oxford studio. Cut, finished, whipped and hardware-checked before it leaves.
Customise the rope colour, binding colour, hardware finish and length to build exactly the lead you want.

We finally made the leap to a slip lead after LOTS of loose lead walking training and would never have gone to anyone but Ed and Green Dog for one. Not only did Ed get this made in mind blowing time, but the quality is absolutely phenomenal! So happy with my new slip leads. My whippets have been wild the last few weeks getting into bad habits pulling with all the pheasants and deer we have around us. The slip leads worn in a figure 8 have been a game changer from day one. They do not pull one bit - getting to enjoy their lead time and zoomie time. Thank you so much for your advice. I was worried they would be harsh on them but they actually feel really gentle towards them and completely eliminated pulling which is good for them and me.
