Collars here fit 6 to 36 inch necks. Measure the neck, not the old collar.

Sizing, materials and questions

Personalised here means you choose the materials, the colours, the fittings and the size. It does not mean engraving. I do not offer engraved name plates, embroidery or lettering of any kind, so if you want your dog's name and your number on the collar, this is not the right page, and I would rather say so at the top than waste your time.

What you get instead is a collar built for one dog. Pick the cord or the strap, pick the binding colours, pick the fittings, send me the neck measurement, and I make it on the bench here in Britain. Eleven to work from, in paracord, BioThane®, rope and Greenwich Yarn, adjustable and non-adjustable.

Hardware varies by collar, so the finishes are listed on each product page rather than here. Greenwich Yarn is a technique rather than a material: nylon cord whipped over the rope by hand, never spliced.

Start somewhere narrower

If you already know what you are after, these pages are more specific than this one.

Making takes 2 to 6 working days and ends at dispatch. UK tracked post is one to two working days after that, and it is free over £55.

Order a collar and a lead together and 10% comes off the lead at checkout without a code. It will not stack with a discount code, so take whichever saves you more.

If the hardware fails in the first twelve months I will repair or replace it. After that, send it back any time and I'll replace worn parts at cost plus postage. Fit is covered by the Perfect Fit Guarantee. Guarantee & Repairs →

That fit guarantee is the important half. If it does not fit when it arrives, tell me and I will adjust or remake it. I do not charge for that work. If I got the size wrong I cover the postage both ways, and if the measurement turned out not to suit your dog the postage is yours. The honest other half is that a collar built to your colours and your dog's measurement counts as made to your specification, so the 14-day cancellation right does not apply and I cannot take it back on a change of mind alone. Frequently asked questions

Do you engrave names or phone numbers on collars?

No. I do not offer engraving, embroidery, name plates or lettering of any kind. Personalised at Green Dog means the materials, colours, fittings and size are yours to choose, and the collar is made to your dog's neck measurement.

What does personalised mean for a Green Dog collar?

You choose the cord or strap, the binding colours, the fittings and the exact size before I make it. The personal part is the specification and the fit, not text on the collar.

Which collars on this page can I design?

All eleven. Paracord, BioThane, rope and Greenwich Yarn collars are each specified by colour, binding and fittings before they are made. Hardware options differ by collar and are listed on the product page.

How do I measure my dog?

Measure round the base of the neck where the collar will sit, snug but not tight. The measuring guide walks through it with photographs, including sighthound necks.

How long does a collar take?

2 to 6 working days on the bench. Nothing is pulled from stock, so the lead time is the making.

Every piece tells you something about the standard it was made to.

Not a supply chain. A standard. Every collar and lead is made by hand in Britain, tested, measured and finished before it is packed. You are buying from the person answerable for it.
