Handwoven cotton dog collars and matching rope leads with a tactile, natural feel. Natural cotton in carefully considered colourways, burgundy, midnight blue, harvest yellow and olive green, woven into premium cowhide leather and finished with solid brass hardware.

Each Cotton Mill collar includes Green Dog's signature bone tassel. Each lead is hand-spliced from 12mm natural cotton rope and carries a small veg-tanned cowhide tab at the handle, embossed with the Green Dog logo on one side and the name on the other. Buy as individual pieces or as a matching set: the woven cotton collars are here, and the hand-spliced cotton leads here.

What is the Cotton Mill collection?

A collection of hand-spliced 12mm cotton rope leads and matching handwoven cotton-and-leather collars. The cotton has a softer, more textured hand-feel than synthetic rope. The collars are woven over a leather strap with brass hardware, and each lead carries a veg-tanned cowhide tab at the handle, embossed with the Green Dog logo on one side and the name on the other.

What colours are in the Cotton Mill range?

Four colourways: burgundy, midnight blue, harvest yellow and olive green. Each colour is available as a rope lead and as a matching woven collar, so they can be bought separately or as a set.

They are sold as individual pieces that match. Buy the collar, the lead, or both, depending on what you need. The colourways pair across the range so you can build a set in stages.

What rope is used for the Cotton Mill leads?

12mm natural cotton rope, hand-spliced and hand-bound. The cotton is heavier than synthetic alternatives of the same diameter, which gives the lead a noticeable weight and drape that synthetic ropes do not replicate.

Where is the Cotton Mill collection made?

Every piece is woven, spliced and finished in my Oxford studio. The collars include my signature bone tassel as standard.

From Yorkshire mill to Oxford studio.

The cotton used in every Cotton Mill piece is milled and dyed in Yorkshire, using traditional processes that produce the depth of colour and durability these leads and collars are built around.

From there, the material comes to the Oxford studio, where every lead is hand spliced and every collar is hand woven. The Italian veg tanned leather straps on the collars are cut and finished by hand. Each piece of brass hardware is load-tested by its manufacturer.

Nothing here is mass produced. The Cotton Mill Collection exists because there is a better way to make a dog lead.
