How to measure: Run a soft tape around the widest point of your dog's neck, snug but not tight. Two fingers should sit comfortably under the finished collar.

Choosing a size: Each size is a range rather than a single figure, so there is adjustment either side of your measurement. Pick the range your measurement sits inside. If you land between two, take the larger one.

Cotton weave: Spot clean with a damp cloth. If it needs more, hand wash lightly in cool water and air dry naturally, away from direct heat.

Leather strap: Wipe mud off with a damp cloth and let it dry naturally, not on a radiator. Condition it once or twice a year with a leather balm. That is all it needs.

Not machine washable: No. The cotton would probably survive it; the veg-tanned leather strap and the brass fittings would not. A finished collar is only as washable as its least tolerant part.
