Cotton Mill Rope Dog Lead in Burgundy

Rope: 12mm twisted cotton rope, 100% natural fibre. The cotton is milled and dyed in Yorkshire, and laid into rope in North Yorkshire. The rope is hand-spliced in Britain.

Binding: Matching burgundy natural yarn, hand-bound at the handle splice and at the O-ring junction.

Leather tab: A black veg-tanned cowhide tab at the handle, embossed with the Green Dog logo icon on one side and the Green Dog name on the other. It is a design detail, not a structural part of the lead.

Hardware: Solid brass trigger snap clip, solid brass O-ring, and an 11mm Green Dog brass disc stamped once with the logo. Solid brass, not plated. All hardware is covered by Green Dog's twelve-month hardware guarantee.

Length: 130cm from handle loop to clip. Standard walk length, versatile for most breeds.

The handle loop sits comfortably in the hand. The lead can be shortened by looping the rope around your wrist or over a shoulder for extra control.

Changing your mind: This lead is made to one standard length in a set colourway, so it is an ordinary purchase: 30 days from delivery to change your mind, where the law asks for 14. Nothing about it is built to a specification you gave me. If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on me: I will repair it, replace it or refund it, and I cover the postage. Cotton rope: Hand wash lightly in cool water if needed. Air dry naturally, never tumble dry or leave on direct heat. Cotton is one of the few natural fibres that is stronger wet than dry, so rain does it no harm, but dry it fully before you put it away.

Brass hardware: Will develop a warm, natural patina over time. This is intentional and considered part of the character of the lead. Polish lightly if preferred.

Hardware is covered by Green Dog's guarantee: repaired or replaced free within twelve months, worn parts at cost plus postage after that.

Is 12mm rope suitable for large dogs? Yes. The rope is strong and durable. It is used daily by dogs of all sizes. The twist naturally tightens under load, which adds strength rather than reducing it.

Will the cotton rope get damaged in rain? No. Cotton handles wet conditions well, and the rope may tighten slightly when wet, which is good structurally. Air dry naturally after heavy rain, and make sure it is fully dry before you put it away.

Is there a matching collar? Yes, the Burgundy Cotton Mill Woven Collar uses the same cotton and the same solid brass hardware. Put the collar and the lead in the same basket and 10% comes off the lead automatically, with no code. It does not combine with a discount code.
