Cotton: 4mm woven cotton cord in warm mustard, milled and dyed in Yorkshire, then woven by hand in Green Dog's Oxfordshire studio.

Leather strap: Premium veg-tanned leather, naturally finished. Paired in chestnut brown on this collar. Italian, French and British cowhide, chosen for each piece rather than a single origin claim.

How to measure: Run a soft tape around the widest point of your dog's neck, snug but not tight. Two fingers should sit comfortably under the finished collar.

Choosing a size: Each size is a range rather than a single figure, so there is adjustment either side of your measurement. Pick the range your measurement sits inside. If you land between two, take the larger one.

Cotton weave: Spot clean with a damp cloth. If it needs more, hand wash lightly in cool water and air dry naturally, away from direct heat.

Leather strap: Wipe mud off with a damp cloth and let it dry naturally, not on a radiator. Condition it once or twice a year with a leather balm. That is all it needs.

Hardware: Wipe the brass clean. It darkens into a patina with use, which is normal. Polish it lightly if you prefer it bright. Covered by Green Dog's twelve-month hardware guarantee.

Not machine washable: No. The cotton would probably survive it; the veg-tanned leather strap and the brass fittings would not. A finished collar is only as washable as its least tolerant part.

Can I put it in the washing machine? No. There is veg-tanned leather and solid brass on this collar and neither belongs in a machine. Spot clean the cotton, wipe the leather, air dry naturally.

Is harvest yellow bright? It is a warm mustard rather than a bright yellow. It catches the light without shouting, and the chestnut brown leather strap is a natural match for it.
