This collar uses the same rope and finishing standards as Green Dog’s best-selling 6mm slip leads, adapted into a training-focused collar format.

Care instructions:

• Place the collar inside a sock or pillowcase to protect the hardware
• Machine wash at 30°C
• Air dry naturally
• Avoid harsh chemicals or prolonged abrasion

Some colours may soften slightly over time due to dye concentration. This is normal and does not affect strength or performance.

Q: What’s the difference between a slip collar and a figure of 8?

A: A slip collar is a single loop that tightens and releases smoothly round the neck. A figure of 8 adds a second loop for extra stability that slips over the nose, helping reduce slipping on narrow-headed dogs.

Q: Where should a training slip collar sit?

A: High on the neck, behind the ears. That position gives clearer communication and helps it release properly when you relax tension.

Q: Is this suitable for puppies?

A: It can be with gentle handling and supervision, but keep sessions short and treat focused. Focus on guidance rather than correction. If in doubt, ask and I’ll recommend the best set-up.

Q: How do I choose the right size?

A: For a slip collar, measure high behind the ears. For a figure of 8, measure two points with a soft tape: (1) around the widest part of the muzzle just below the eyes, and (2) around the head just behind the ears. If you’re between sizes, go one size up for comfort.
