How I work
- Hardware is guaranteed for twelve months. If a buckle, clip or ring fails in that time, send it back and I’ll repair or replace it, and I cover the postage.
- After that, send it back anyway, however old it is. I’ll replace the worn parts at cost and tell you what it needs before I touch it. It comes back cleaned, checked and boxed.
- If it isn’t adjustable, I check your measurements with you before I make it.
- Message the shop and it’s me, Ed, who replies. Usually within a few hours.
- Custom pieces aren’t refundable for a change of mind. If it does not fit when it arrives, tell me and I will adjust or remake it. If I got the size wrong, I cover the postage both ways. If the measurement turned out not to suit your dog, the postage is yours.

Greenwich Yarn Slip Collar | Customisable Slip Collar for Dogs
The Greenwich Yarn Slip Collar is a customisable slip collar for dogs, made by hand in Britain from 10mm rope with precision nano binding. Designed for everyday walks or use as part of training, it gives you clean control with a finish that looks considered.
Greenwich Yarn describes how the collar is finished, not what it is made from. A primary nano cord is whipped over the rope by hand, then an accent colour is worked over the top. It is whipping rather than splicing, and it is the same technique on the collars, the leads and the keyrings.
Choose your rope colour, binding colours, O-ring and end cap finish. Each collar is made to your chosen size, adjustable on the dog for a snug, comfortable fit that will not slip off or pull unevenly.
The BioThane® slider is the stopper. It sets where the loop closes, so the collar sits behind the ears and stays there rather than closing further than you want it to.
Sizing a slip collar is not the same as sizing a fixed collar. A fixed collar is ordered to the neck measurement. A slip collar has to pass over the head first, so measure the widest part of your dog's head, over the ears and the cheekbones, and order to that. The stopper then holds the loop where you want it on the neck. If the head measurement and the neck measurement are close, order to the head one: a slip that will not go on is no use, and the stopper takes up the rest. Send me both numbers and I will set it for you before I start.
Made in Britain, and I will tell you exactly what that means. Every customisable Greenwich Yarn piece is cut, whipped and finished by hand in my workshop in Oxford. Custom work is not outsourced and will not be. Nothing is made in a batch and left on a shelf, so your collar is started after you order it. The rope is 10mm PPM, chosen for how it holds a whipping and how it behaves wet. I would rather be specific than sweeping.
