Sizing & Fitting
Measure your dog's neck with a soft tape using the two-finger method. The tape should lie flat with two fingers sliding comfortably underneath. Not sure? Visit the full Measuring Guide or message me before ordering.
Materials & Construction
- Natural leather, veg-tanned and naturally finished, in black or chestnut brown
- Italian, French and British cowhide, chosen for each piece rather than a single origin claim
- Buckle and D-ring in solid brass or solid nickel, your choice. Solid metal, not plated.
- Double cap rivets, paired to the buckle rather than chosen: brass rivets with brass, nickel rivets with nickel
The wider profile is the point of this collar. It sits between the head and the shoulders so it cannot slip backwards over a sighthound's narrower skull.

Care & Durability
Veg-tanned leather softens and deepens in colour with daily wear. The patina is the collar ageing properly, not wearing out.
- Wipe mud off with a damp cloth and let it dry naturally, not on a radiator
- Condition it once or twice a year with a leather balm. That is the whole routine.
- Never put it in a washing machine, and keep it away from direct heat
Both hardware options on this collar are solid metal, so both patina and both polish back. A soft cloth and metal polish returns brass to gold and nickel to bright. Polish is safe here precisely because nothing is plated.
If you chose nickel, note that it is solid nickel rather than a coating, so nickel does sit against the dog. Solid brass contains no nickel at all.

Returns & Exchanges
Standard pieces can be returned within 30 days for a full refund, unused and in original condition. I refund what you paid for the piece and the standard delivery I charged; sending it back is at your cost.
If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's on me: I'll repair, replace or refund it, and I cover the postage both ways.
If the size or length isn't right, message me within 14 days. An exchange is usually simpler than a return. If I got it wrong, I cover the postage; if the measurement turned out not to suit your dog, the postage each way is yours. Either way, message me. I'd far rather talk it through than have you post anything.
If the hardware fails within twelve months I repair or replace it, with parts and return postage covered. After that, send it back any time and I'll replace worn parts at cost plus postage.

The Cotswold Heritage Leather Sighthound Collar is made by hand in Britain from natural leather, veg-tanned and naturally finished. Italian, French and British cowhide, chosen for each piece rather than a single origin claim. Designed with the wider profile required for sighthound anatomy: whippets, lurchers, Italian greyhounds, and greyhounds.
The leather will develop a patina with daily wear, softening and deepening in colour over time. Choose a solid brass or solid nickel buckle. Both are solid metal, not plated, so both patina gently and polish back. The rivets are paired to the buckle rather than chosen separately: brass rivets with the brass buckle, nickel rivets with the nickel buckle. All hardware is load-tested by its manufacturer.
