The Sheep Shed Tassel in Charcoal | British Wool Keyring Tassel

Rope: 14mm twisted British wool rope in the charcoal grey wool, the same rope used in the Sheep Shed Rope Lead in Charcoal, spliced by hand. It is undyed. The colour is the colour the sheep grew. British wool, graded and spun in Yorkshire, and laid into rope in Britain.

Binding: 1mm hemp cord, whipped over the splice by hand, in cream or grey. The wool is charcoal either way. The cord is what changes.

Hardware: Solid brass split ring. Twelve-month hardware guarantee.

Made by hand in Britain. Attaches to keys, clips onto a bag, or hangs from your dog's lead D-ring.

One size. The binding is 1mm hemp cord, in cream or grey. Select your preference at checkout. The wool is charcoal on both.

Changing your mind: A keyring is about as ordinary a purchase as I sell: one size, a fixed wool, and a binding colour off a list of two. So you keep the full 30 days from delivery to change your mind, where the law asks only for 14. If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, tell me and I will repair, replace or refund it, and I pay the postage. Terms on my returns page.

Most of the time, leave it alone. Let mud dry and brush it out with a soft brush. When it needs more than that, wash it by hand the way you would a wool jumper: about ten minutes in cool to lukewarm water, no warmer than 30°C, with a wool wash. Press it gently through the water rather than rubbing or twisting it, then rinse in water of the same temperature. Press the water out, never wring, roll it in a towel, then lay it out straight and let it dry fully, away from radiators and direct sun. Heat, sudden temperature changes and rubbing are what felt wool, so avoid those, along with biological detergent and bleach. The wool is untreated, which is what gives it the handle, and it will felt slightly with wear. That is expected, and it makes it softer.

Is it the same wool as the collar and lead? Yes. The same British wool, made to the same standard.

Can I wash it? Not in the machine, but yes by hand, the way you would a wool jumper: a gentle soak in cool water, a mild wool wash, then leave it to dry naturally. Most of the time you will not need to: let dirt dry and brush it out.

Which binding colour should I pick? The tassel is charcoal wool either way. The binding is 1mm hemp cord in cream or grey, so pick whichever sits better with your charcoal piece.

Will it survive being clipped to a lead in the rain? Yes. It will get damp and dry out again without going soggy, the way a fleece does in the field. Let it dry naturally rather than on a radiator.

How long will it take to arrive? Two to six working days is the making window, and it ends when the keyring is dispatched. UK tracked post is one to two working days after that, so door to door is usually three to eight working days. UK tracked delivery is free over £55.
