How I work
- Hardware is guaranteed for twelve months. If a buckle, clip or ring fails in that time, send it back and I’ll repair or replace it, and I cover the postage.
- After that, send it back anyway, however old it is. I’ll replace the worn parts at cost and tell you what it needs before I touch it. It comes back cleaned, checked and boxed.
- If it isn’t adjustable, I check your measurements with you before I make it.
- Message the shop and it’s me, Ed, who replies. Usually within a few hours.
- Custom pieces aren’t refundable for a change of mind. If it does not fit when it arrives, tell me and I will adjust or remake it. If I got the size wrong, I cover the postage both ways. If the measurement turned out not to suit your dog, the postage is yours.

Greenwich Yarn Rope Dog Collar | Fully Customisable
The Greenwich Yarn Dog Collar is a designer rope dog collar made to order in Britain. Inspired by Britain's maritime heritage: 10mm rope, precision nano binding, and a solid brass Swedish sailing shackle. Built for dogs who live real lives.
Greenwich Yarn describes how the collar is finished, not what it is made from. A primary nano cord is whipped over the rope by hand, then an accent colour is worked over the top. It is whipping rather than splicing, and it is the same technique on the collars, the leads and the keyrings.
This is the fully customisable version. Choose your rope colour, your primary binding and your accent binding. Every combination is made fresh, and nothing sits in stock. An 11mm Green Dog brass disc sits on the O-ring, stamped once with the logo.
Getting the size right. Every collar is cut to the centimetre rather than to a size chart, and the sizes shown are the internal measurement, 30cm to 60cm. Measure your dog's neck in the middle, with two fingers underneath the tape, and order that reading. Do not add anything to it: the two fingers are the room. One exception: if your dog's head is narrower than their neck, measure at the top of the neck just behind the ears instead, because a fixed collar that is slightly loose further down will slide off over the head.
The last check, and it takes ten seconds. Loop the tape measure to the size you have chosen and try it over your dog's head. If it slips over easily the collar is too big. Made in Britain, and I will tell you exactly what that means. Every customisable Greenwich Yarn piece is cut, whipped and finished by hand in my workshop in Oxford. Custom work is not outsourced and will not be. The shackle and the O-ring are solid brass, not plated. The shackle is a Swedish sailing shackle and it has Sweden stamped on it, because the people who make it properly are in Sweden. I could round that up and call the collar 100% British. I would rather tell you where the one part comes from and let you judge the rest, because the rest is the part that takes the time.
