Sizing & Fitting
Length: 100cm from the handle loop to the clip. A standard walking length, short enough to keep a dog beside you on a pavement and long enough to give a little room on a path.
Handling: Leather has more weight and less bounce than rope, so it hangs straight and does not spring back at you when your dog stops. It softens to the shape of your hand with use.
Which dogs: Any size. A lead has no fit to get wrong, so the only real decision here is length and colour.

Changing your mind: Made in a set colour at a standard length rather than to your own specification, so you have a full 30 days from delivery, unworn and in the original packaging, where the law asks only for 14.

Care & Durability
Spot clean with mild soap and cool water. Air dry naturally away from direct heat. Solid brass and solid nickel develop a natural patina, and polish occasionally if you prefer them bright. Plated and zinc die cast finishes need nothing but a wipe, and must never be polished, because that takes the finish off.
FAQs
How long is it? 100cm from the handle loop to the clip. If you want a different length, message me before ordering rather than after.
Is leather strong enough for a big dog? Yes. The strength is in the hide and the clip, and the clip is load-tested by its manufacturer. Leather is the oldest lead material there is for a reason: it takes sustained load without stretching the way some synthetics do.
Will it get slippery in the rain? Less than you might expect. Veg-tanned leather grips better wet than coated synthetics do. Let it dry naturally afterwards, never on a radiator, and it will be fine.
How do I look after it? Wipe mud off with a damp cloth, dry it naturally, and condition it once or twice a year with a leather balm. That is the whole routine. It will look better in two years than it does on the first walk.

Returns & Exchanges
Standard pieces can be returned within 30 days for a full refund, unused and in original condition. I refund what you paid for the piece and the standard delivery I charged; sending it back is at your cost.
If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's on me: I'll repair, replace or refund it, and I cover the postage both ways.
If something isn't right, message me. I'd far rather talk it through than have you post anything.
If the hardware fails within twelve months I repair or replace it, with parts and return postage covered. After that, send it back any time and I'll replace worn parts at cost plus postage.

A classic leather dog lead built from the right materials. Natural leather, veg-tanned, naturally finished, the right weight in the hand. Trigger snap in your choice of fittings, load-tested by its manufacturer.
How it is made. The strap is pressed out of the hide on a clicker press, using leather knives I designed myself. A splitter takes it down to thickness and a skiver thins it further where the detail calls for it. The edges are bevelled and left natural, then gummed with cactus, which is where the sheen comes from. The hardware is set with rivets.
