How slip leads work

A slip lead is a lead and collar in one. Tension tightens the loop; release loosens it. That pressure-and-release signal is clearest when the lead is positioned high on the neck, just behind the ears, and sized correctly. All leads here are made with BioThane® stoppers for precise, repeatable fit.

Which lead is right for your dog?

The Strand — 6mm rope slip lead
A single loop that sits behind the ears. Light, responsive and clear in its signal. Best suited to dogs that already understand loose-lead walking and benefit from a more direct setup than a standard collar and clip lead. Available in any colour combination.

The Notting Hill — figure of 8 nose slip lead
Two loops: one at the collar position, one around the muzzle. Works by guiding the head rather than pulling from the neck — more effective for dogs that pull consistently because it removes the forward reward before it happens. Same 6mm rope and solid brass hardware as The Strand.

10mm adjustable slip collar
A heavier rope collar-only option for dogs where a separate lead is preferred. The wider 10mm rope sits more comfortably on larger breeds and distributes pressure more evenly across the neck.
