About this piece

This is what Green Dog does at its best — not choosing between materials, but combining them. British heritage wool woven by hand, 10mm PPM rope that performs in any weather, and BioThane® in considered colours, brought together into something that looks at home on a Cotswold lane or a city pavement.

This is the new Sheep Shed Hybrid range: the craft and texture of The Brampton and The Dingley wool collections, matched to the practical modern materials the dog world reaches for daily — PPM rope and BioThane® — but coloured, proportioned, and assembled in a way the pet industry has never quite seen before.

The Brampton Beige pairs the hand-woven Brampton wool collar body with a beige 19mm BioThane® adjustable strap and a hunter green 9mm BioThane® collar keeper. The same Brampton wool used in the leather version — the same heritage, the same Oxford studio — but finished with a strap that handles British weather without asking anything of you.

Fully waterproof. Wipe-clean. No conditioning. Solid brass buckle and D-ring. Choose 3-row weave for any breed, or 4-row weave for sighthounds (whippets, lurchers, greyhounds) or personal preference.

Materials & construction

Wool weave: British Brampton heritage wool, hand-woven at Green Dog's Oxford studio. The same wool used in The Brampton leather collar — naturally resilient and comfortable against skin.

BioThane® strap: 19mm Beige BioThane® BETA — fully waterproof, odour-resistant, non-stretch. Adjustable fit. Wipe-clean after muddy or wet walks.

Collar keeper: 9mm Hunter Green BioThane® — holds the strap end neatly in place.

Hardware: Solid brass roller buckle and D-ring. Solid brass throughout. Covered under Green Dog's Lifetime Hardware Promise.

Sizing & fit

How to measure: Measure the widest point of your dog's neck and add 2–3cm. If between sizes, size up. Two fingers should sit comfortably under the collar. Size exchange included on all standard orders.

3-row vs 4-row: 3-row is standard width — suitable for all breeds. 4-row is wider, distributing pressure more evenly across the neck. Ideal for sighthounds (whippets, lurchers, greyhounds) or any dog where a broader profile is preferred, or simply as a personal choice.

Care & durability

Wool weave: Spot clean with a damp cloth. Hand wash gently in cool water with a wool-safe detergent if needed. Air dry naturally — never tumble dry.

BioThane® strap: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Fully waterproof and odour-resistant — rinse under running water after heavy mud. No conditioning needed.

Hardware: Solid brass — wipe clean. Will develop a natural patina over time. Covered under Green Dog's Lifetime Hardware Promise.

Questions & answers

How is this different from the leather Brampton? Identical wool weave body — same Brampton heritage wool, same Oxford studio. The difference is the strap: beige BioThane® instead of leather. BioThane® is fully waterproof and needs no conditioning. The leather version develops a traditional patina. This one handles any weather with no maintenance.

3-row or 4-row — which should I choose? 3-row is the standard width for most breeds. 4-row is wider — ideal for sighthounds (whippets, lurchers, greyhounds) where broader pressure distribution matters, or simply if you prefer a wider collar aesthetically.

Is there a matching lead? Yes — the Brampton Hybrid Lead in Chestnut uses matching beige BioThane® stopper detailing and Brampton wool binding.
